The main topic of conversations Living in a VUCA world

VUCA is a metaphor for new normality, as the world is changing much faster than our knowledge of it, and the only constant is the change itself. Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity are characteristics of each and every field we act and form. It is a world of "Black Swans" -- highly improbable events, that no-one has predicted, but which affect everyone. In the VUCA world planning fails, experts tend to be blind, and only those being agile may look to survive.

Aleksandra Przegalińska, Polish philosopher and AI specialist from Kozminski University, conducting research at MIT & Harvard, creates a biography of Artificial Intelligence. She explains technological complexities and answers difficult ethical questions.

Who will soon replace us in the office and factory? Can an algorithm have emotions? Are robots aware? Who controls today's politics from the back seat? Are we approaching the point where we will have to hand over the crown to the rulers of the Earth? What is sure is that Artificial Intelligence is becoming a reality. We take extreme positions on it: from the great techno-optimism of Silicon Valley to the enormous fear that inspires the scenarios of Matrix and Terminator. But there are other questions that really matter: How does it work? Why was it created? How does it change our lives?
